I was motivated to begin this journey for my amazing and brilliant four-year old baby girl, Jamie Ruth. As a single mom, I have never wanted to fall short of being able to give my child all that she deserves and more. If there is anything a parent or parent-to-be wants, it is to be able to meet all of the needs their children have. The idea to start selling my arepas was initiated because there was a need to be able to provide for my household. As a young mom, a full-time technician at a psychiatric hospital and a full-time student-- an aspiring nurse to be-- it has not been easy to further my career and mommy duties without making sacrifices for one or the other. Now, with Danny’s Arepas I can create an opportunity to bring a more authentic Latin American culture to the Chattanooga area and move closer to my goals. With your help, I can raise money to pay my way through nursing school and in efforts to give back, I will donate 10% of all of my earnings to a church administration and charity organization.
