ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP COACHING
This module is devoted to new or young administrators. Our consultants have a wealth of experience
(more than 70 years) that can help the new administrator know what is most important to do in many
common school situations. In addition to this, we walk beside you for one year of your school career
to answer your questions, help you get organized, advise you on best practices, and help you
understand your constituencies and their needs.
This module has three parts:
1. The school visit – Our consultant will come to your school and meet with all of the key
stakeholders – the administrator(s), the board, school parents, and the teachers. The purpose
of this is to get an understanding of the setting and the people involved.
2. The Dimensions of Leadership inventory – The administrator(s), board, and teachers will take
this unique inventory, which assesses key professional and personal dimensions which have a
bearing on effective school leadership. When the results are tabulated we can then discuss what areas of leadership are strong and which ones need improvement.
3. The follow-up consultations – We will conduct 10 phone consultations (or visits) during the following year. These will include pointers based on the findings of the
inventory, as well as the opportunity to answer questions and address issues the administrator may have.
